Wimbles, Sussex Shepherds Hut

Editorial Description

Set on a beautiful farm in Sussex, this Shepherd’s Hut is ideal for couples or families alike. Built in 2014, it has a double bed and separate bunk room, a kitchen area with a gas cooker, a dining area, and even a hot shower cubicle!

There’s also a unique recycled woodstove to keep things nice and cosy if the weather’s not ideal. The hut is situated at the top of a river meadow, set apart from the rest of the campsite so it’s secluded and private without being too far away from the other facilities on the site.

In winter, the Hut gets moved to the side of the nearby lake, making it a great hideaway. In the local area there’s plenty to keep the whole family occupied, whether it's cycling through nearby woods and fields, or visiting places like Pevensey (where the Normans landed in 1066!) or Hastings.

The bustling city of Brighton is not too far away by car, or closer to home is a couple of fantastic local pubs – there is something for everyone in the area!

We are a small sustainable Glamping and Camping site where we make sure you have your own private space to enjoy being together. I made the Shepherds hut a year ago and it has been enjoyed by many families and couples with a lot of repeat business. The pricing is particularly attractive for full weeks, or 4/5 night mid week breaks and aimed towards families. Winter sees the Shepherds hut moved to the lake and close to the eco lodge where it becomes more suitable for adults and cosy woodburner evenings.

Unique and self-contained the shepherds hut is fully equipped and has basic provisions and welcome pack included, additionally there is an honesty box for other essential food items.

There is good walking from Wimbles for most of the year, and my four pub walking route has gained a fearsome reputation amongst guests! So bring your hiking boots.

Importantly we are small enough to wellcome you and help you to get the very best of your stay with us in East Sussex, so waste no more time searching the net!
