Lantern & Larks - Sweffling Hall

Editorial Description

Set right in the middle of the golden triangle of Suffolk – rural Framlingham, coastal Suffolk, and the bustling town of Felixstowe – Sweffling Hall is a superbly located glampsite for exploring this beautiful part of the United Kingdom.

A selection of luxurious and well-equipped canvas wrapped tents is available, the spacious accommodation is well laid out with separate sitting, kitchen, and sleeping areas. There’s even a dining table in each tent with high-backed chairs seating up to six people in style, and the separate bedrooms ensure that privacy and comfort are available.

A fire pit outside, with a decked terrace and stylish cane furniture, provides an ideal spot to unwind after a busy day. There’s certainly plenty to do in the area, from Easton Farm Park with farm animals for smaller visitors (or just animal lovers!) to a variety of museums.

There’s even an Anglo-Saxon burial site and a 12th Century castle to explore for those with an interest in history. This really is a beautiful part of East Anglia, and Sweffling Hall is the ideal location to explore it from.

Description

Sweffling Hall lies in a rural triangle between Framlingham to its inland west, coastal Southwold to the northeast and seaside Felixstowe to the south - Suffolk's own golden triangle of fun, adventure and charming discovery.

For little legs, Easton Farm Park is ideal. Meet your first Suffolk Punch, enjoy pony rides, cart and train rides; feed the farm animals and hug a bunny (but you have to give it back). Firmer legs and inquisitive minds will enjoy the steam and engineering exhibits at Long Shop Museum, Leiston or the Cold War Museum at RAF Bentwaters. With energy to spare - take to the parapets of Framlingham Castle to protect your lands from marauding little sisters, to be rewarded for your valour with the order of the ice cream.

Step back in time and immerse yourself in this land of castles, legend and hearsay. It is steeped in a history of coastal defence from the Anglo-Saxon burial site at Sutton Hoo to Henry II's 12th Century Orford Castle and the Dutch defences of 16th C. Landguard Fort.
