Knepp Wildland campsite is located in the heart of our unique 3,500-acre rewilding project, on the site of an old farm, a short walk from the village of Dial Post.

Tranquil, beautifully designed, eco-friendly and surrounded by stunning wild countryside our campsite is perfect for a quiet break away from it all.

Beds are fully made up with pure Egyptian cotton bed linen and pure wool blankets. We have hypoallergenic pillows and duvets available on request.

The Camp Kitchen has a large gas oven and hob, and a fridge/freezer for communal use. Pots, pans and cooking utensils, glasses, cutlery, mugs and plates are all provided, as are all the necessaries for washing-up.

Designed to be in keeping with the surroundings of the rewilding project our campsite is a peaceful haven set in wonderful natural scenery.

Wherever possible we’ve used reclaimed and recycled materials for the construction of the campsite, including our beautiful and ingenious Camp Kitchen. We are passionate about using ethical and environmentally-friendly products, and alternative energy where feasible.

The Knepp Wildland Project is a pioneering experiment in habitat creation, the largest of its kind in lowland Europe. Here, natural processes – driven by large ungulates – are allowed to take place on an influential scale.

Accommodate

    Knepp Wildland Safaris are about the peaceful observation of nature. Some of the species we are likely to encounter are shy or can be frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Others may take time to find. For these reasons our safaris are not suited to small children.
